Hi, It’s Me… The Hot Mess Dance Mom
About Me
I’ve been around dance for as long as I can remember.
I started dancing when I was 3 (or maybe 4… honestly it all blurs together after that), and grew up fully in the competition world — long weekends, quick changes, hotel ballrooms, and learning how to do a full face of makeup way too young.
Dance took me a lot of places growing up.
I traveled, competed, and even carried it into high school through pageants — where tap somehow became my thing and earned me a few top awards along the way.
There were also scholarships, opportunities, and experiences I’ll always be grateful for… but more than anything, dance just stuck.
Now I’m on the other side of it.
I have two daughters — both started dancing early (of course), and both now fully in their competition era.
And if you’re here… you probably already know what that means.
Costumes everywhere.
Bobby pins in every bag you own.
Early mornings. Late nights.
And somehow always needing one thing you forgot.
Somewhere along the way, I became the definition of a Hot Mess Dance Mom.
Not the perfectly organized one.
Not the one with everything labeled and color-coded.
The one who’s learned most things the hard way…
and now just tries to stay one step ahead of the chaos.
If you’re in it too — welcome.
You’re in the right place.
